Welcome to NY♪

Two friends of mine are visiting NY.

We've known each other for over 20 years.

My another friend who lives in NY long time is also their old  friend.

So we hung out at a Jazz club and enjoyed Rodriguez Brothers's performance the day before yesterday.

That was really good performance. 

Though my two friends arrived NY late night of before that day, they had much vitality.

Don't they have a  jet lag?? Unbelievable.....

Anyway, we have a lot of plans while they are in NY for 1 week!!

Chicago Symphony Orchestra

CSO is my favorite orchestra.

I'd been waiting today loooooong time!

Of course tonight's concert at Carnegie Hall was wonderful. their rich and gorgeous sound was soaring.

I couldn't contain myself for pounding heart while whole concert....

And also the soloist Mitsuko Uchida was amazing.

Her Bartok's third piano concerto which was written during the last months of his life as a surprise birthday gift for his wife  was so beautiful.

Especially the second movement was impressed.

That soft and  gentle music made me warm.

And  I respect not only Mitsuko's music but also her attitude because she always made a deep bow to audience. 

CSO has one more concert with another program tomorrow.

And I'm going to there tomorrow, too!!

Teacher's house

I've been taking English class every Friday in the buddhist center with my friends.

And we had a special class today♪

We went to see a movie [Michael Clayton] which was nominated for Academy Awards,  then we went to teacher's house and talked about the movie with pizza and wine and beer.

Actually the movie was too difficult to understand but I enjoyed very much.  

George Cloony is sooooo cool and gorgeous !!!

Now, I'm watching Academy Awards in my room (^_^)
