El Calafate town

El Calafate is a town like Karuizawa.
Many tourists are there and there are shopping malls and hotels.

I took this picture at 8:30 pm.
It was still look like afternoon!

Trekking on the glacier!

I walked on glacier for 2 hours.
There were wonderful tour guides who know which way is safe.

It was amazing to be on Ice which took looooong time to grow!

The glacier is melting here.

New glacier is keep growing on the top of the mountains, and the old glacier is pushed down to lakes at the foot of mountains. Then they start melting.

So, there were many holes and small river on the glacier.
The water is drinkable!

You can hear crack and thundering sound many times from these mass of glacier.
I saw falling glacier a few times.

They don't show any explanation boads about each structures and shrines (There are many shrines within Ise Shrine) for tourists. That is good!

Oise-san has dignity.

Look! Stone paving is very neat!

Ayasofya used to be a church of Greece, then they changed to Mosque.

There were many chandeliers made by wood.

I found some painting windows next to real windows.
They used to have window tax, so they made fake ones.

Interesting!

I went to see Blue Mosque in Istanbul.
Stained Glasses were amazing.

IN THE HEIGHTS!!!

'IN THE HEIGHTS'
Winner of TONY AWARD 2008.

When they won the award, I was in NY and I went to see the moment in Radio City!

The musical is set in Washington Heights.

Yes, where I lived!!!
What a strange chance.

The story is about immigrants from Latin America.

I liked buying coffee and sandwich in a bakery which latino ran next to the station.
There were beauty salons which are look like one in the musical.

Washington Heights was always energetic.
I felt latin peoples atmosphere everywhere.

Their life, their history, reality of NYC.... their patriotism, then their future.

I was touched.
The music and dance also amazing!!!

BTW,
I couldn't understand the story more than half when I saw the musical in NY, but I could see it with subtitles today♪ So I finally understood every single word!!!!

Thank you for coming to Japan!!!

Apply

I brought my husband's Application for Certificate of Eligibility to the immigration office today.

I've struggled with a lot of documents and papers so far to apply.

My friend who has a husband from USA helped me a lot.
I really thank her!!

By the way, when I applied at the office, a clerk at a window saw my documents and asked me

"You are a musician. What do you play?"

I thought he was checking deeper about us.
"I play the trumpet."
I answered.

Then he said
"I play the clarinet, and I often go to your orchestra's concert!"

I was very surprised.

He also said
"You are having a regular concert in Fumon Hall in April right? I might go"

I realize that International marriage makes my life more interesting and wonderful!!
