We had a party after the last concert in Eskisehir.

The Trumpet section of TKWO!

MAMIKO ANDO　安藤真美子: Tokyo, Japan; I started my trumpet player career when I was 9 years old in elementary school wind ensemble. My classmate asked me to join to the wind ensemble club. I met the trumpet for the first time there. When I entered junior high school, I've tried to change to the Tenor Saxophone which I had admired for a long time but Saxophones were favorite with many students.... So I failed. Then I returned to the trumpet after all. Now I think that was good for me. In those days, my dream was playing in Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra . I studied under Mr. Mineo Sugiki Mr. Yoshiaki Fukuda in Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. I've been a member of Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra since 2002 after going through Siena Wind Orchestra. I'm very happy to study in NY with Mr. Mark Gould who was a principal trp player in the Met and teaches in Juilliard and MSM. It had been my wish since I took his great lessons in Hamamatsu International Wind Instruments Academy & Festival when I was a university student. I've been in NY since September 07 and I'm going back to Japan in the end of July 08.
